Yakutat Power in Alaska reported, after operating on REOS processed and blended fuel, that exhaust smoke was reduced while kilowatt generation per gallon of fuel increased from 14.7 to 15.3.
A REOS unit was installed at Yakutat Power on December 22, 1998 to address used oil storage and disposal issues. Within a three month period, all stored oils were converted into burnable fuel and consumed in their generator engines.. |
